Detailing the history of Butler's industrial and agricultural heritage, the Butler County Heritage Center welcomes visitors to tour its museum. A number of local history artifacts, including automobiles and equipment, are on display. The center is open on Sundays from 1pm to 3pm and for special events.
The Maridon Museum opened in 2004, becoming Western Pennsylvania's first museum to focus on Chinese and Japanese life, specifically their arts and cultures. There are four galleries filled with many artifacts, including carvings, sculptures, figurines, paintings and scrolls. The Maridon is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 5pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm.
